15 weeks

Dear Camryn,

You are 15 weeks old today!! You are such a joy, and Daddy & I have forgotten what life B.C. (before Camryn) was like....very boring I would think! :)
You rolled over from your belly to your back ALL BY YOURSELF on Wednesday, September 14th. Daddy & I were both there to see it, and i think we startled you when we started "woohooing" and clapping. We were such proud parents in that moment! You already want to stand on your own, and Daddy likes to let you stand without him holding onto you until you start to topple over, then he catches you. We'll have to work on your balance. ;)
You are grabbing at everything these days, and putting just about anything in your mouth. You're like a shark, tasting everything to determine what it is. You pet my shirt and my hair the entire time I'm nursing you, it's very sweet. You also like to hold your own hand, Daddy adores it.
You're such a talker; honestly, we can't shut you up! You coo in your highest pitch girly voice, giggle, and "hoooooo" like you're singing. You mimic us, and you are really trying to motorboat your lips like I do, but mostly you just blow bubbles when you try. You laugh all the time! Last night Daddy gave you a bath and you were giggling with him for almost 30 minutes straight...of course Daddy was encouraging it by splashing ALL OVER THE BATHROOM, and telling you to do this during every bath because it's funny making Mommy clean it up! Daddy's a brat!
I haven't started you on any foods yet, but I'm really looking forward to it. I can't wait to see which foods you'll like/dislike. Maybe in another month.
You're napping right now, so I'm going to go take advantage of my free time and pick up the house a little.
Love,
Mommy

My Little Jet Setter

Dear Camryn,

You took another plane ride, this time for a mini vacation to Mountain View (where Daddy met with business partners at the Google Headquarters), San Francisco, and Napa Valley.
Day 1: Our first day in Mountain View we visited the Google "compound", and it was awesome! If you have a beautifully brilliant mind like your Daddy, then someday you might be able to work for Google. If you do work for Google someday, please bring Mommy with you to work everyday, it's like a grown-ups playground there! :)
After our tour of Google, we ate dinner at INN N OUT, and it was yummy! Someday I'll bring you back and you can eat your first burger there. Later that evening we drove out to S.F. to see the Golden Gate Bridge, and drove over to Fisherman's Dwarf. It was getting late, so we waited until Day 2 to get out and sight see.
Day 2: We started our day off visiting Stanford, and the campus was beautiful! Then we spent the entire day in San Francisco being tourists. We saw Alcatraz, the Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman's Dwarf, Twin Peaks, and drove all around S.F. Mommy at the most delicious fish tacos...everything else I ever eat will be compared to those fish tacos! Daddy was craving fish & chips really bad, but the ones we finally found weren't very good, and he was bummed.
Day 3: You tasted (not ate, just sucked on) your very first piece of food; WATERMELON! You made a really funny face after you tasted it, but then you kept on gumming on it.
We drove from Mountain View to Napa Valley, and lucky for us, Napa had the 35th annual wine & crafts street fair. We walked all over historic downtown Napa shopping, sightseeing, and then ate lunch at Fish Story. Daddy finally found worthy fish & chips! We also had BBQ oysters, sweet corn polenta (YUM), and a delicious Caribbean mahi mahi, Mmmmm Mmmmmm Mmmmm!! :)
You napped while we laid out by the pool, and after we walked the Trinitas Vineyard.
Day 4: We toured the wine country today, and even visited a castle! Even someone that hated wine (Crazy Person) would love Napa Valley, it's the most beautiful and peaceful place. The perfectly green, manicured rows of grapes are so breathtaking! After a few hours of touring we headed back downtown for lunch, and then back out to the pool (you slept through both of these activities).
You are really enjoyable to travel with! You sleep through meals, you napped for a few hours and allowed Daddy & I to lay out poolside, you sleep for 10-12 hours straight every night....you don't let anything get in the way of your favorite thing....SLEEP!

We've had a great "mini-family-vacation" together, and we're already planning our next trip.
Love,
Mommy
