Dear Camryn,
Daddy & I took you to the Austin Zoo yesterday. The weather has been beautiful this weekend, and it was a perfect day to wander around looking at all the animals. The Austin Zoo is a rescue zoo that only adopts injured, abused, and neglected animals. There are turkeys, peacocks, and ducks wandering around the entire property, even in the fenced in areas with the lions, bears, and panther. If I were a turkey, I wouldn't want to be anywhere near the tigers....or any other animals that might want to eat me!!
You enjoyed the lions the most, probably because they are big and resemble our dogs the most. The monkeys were also really adorable, and we watched one play basketball (literally) by himself for over 5 minutes. One monkey ran in circles round his play yard, and as he passed the cage door he would turn and jump up into the air....don't ask me why. We thought he was pretty funny! :)
Here are some pictures from our fun weekend:

Jumping, Sitting, & Playing
Dear Camryn,
We tried using your jumper a month ago, but you were still too small, but you're almost big enough now. We had to "pad" the jumper using a blanket (thanks Lily for the tip!) so that you didn't lean too far forward or backwards. You seemed much more interested in jumping this time, so I think we'll keep trying it over the next few weeks. You need help to bounce around, but once you got started you did great!

"seriously mom, how many more pictures are you going to take?" :)

I bought you an adorable playsuit from LaceyLane on Etsy a few weeks ago, and it finally arrived!! It's still too big, but I just had to try it on you. I love your chunky monkey thighs!

When I sit you up, you can hold yourself up all by yourself for up to 15 seconds, so I snapped a quick picture. I was trying to hurry, so it's a little blurry. You were starting to lean....and then TIMBER!! Here's another one:

The flash surprised you.
Grandma bought you a new toy (gawd you're spoiled!!) for tummy time, and you think it's pretty interesting.

You have been playing on your Luv' u Zoo mat this week, and i caught you reaching for the hanging toys.

Eating your fingers, as usual, goofy girl!
We're heading to the zoo tomorrow! Pictures coming soon....
Love,
Mommy

Mama's Little Sous Chef
Dear Camryn,
You helped me make organic pear baby food last night. You love being in the kitchen watching Mama work, and I always let you touch and play with all the ingredients and utensils. You're the best Sous Chef!

I don't put anything in your mouth that I didn't make with lots of love! <3

Our Baby Bullet was a gift from our sweet friends Jessica & Brent. It's awesome, and I love it!!

2 organic pears made 6 refrigerator cups, plus 4 freezer cups (that I put into mesh bags for you to chew on to help with teething). Our "Pear Sauce" is delicious!! I'll post pictures of you eating it soon.
Love you,
Mommy
