Taylors New Truck

Taylor was FINALLY able to make a decision on a new vehicle, and he chose a beautiful black F-150 Lariat!

13.2 Weeks Along

We have officially made it into our 2nd trimester, and the doctor said our chances of complications at this time are less than 5%!!!
What's happening with Baby Hawes this week.... In addition to beginning to form bones in his/her arms and legs, our baby is also beginning to grow a downy of hair on it's body called lanugo for warmth (it will shed later in pregnancy when the baby develops more fat). Baby Hawes' intestines are now being brought into his/her abdomen and are producing meconium which is the waste that will be his/her first bowel movement.
Our goofy pups watching Baby H & I get our pictures taken.

Beautiful BOUNCING Baby

We had our 12 week health checkup this morning and Baby Hawes is as healthy as can be! Phew! :-) Our risks for Down Syndrome is 1/7,000 and our risk for Trisomy 13 or 18 is 1/10,000...those odds are good enough for us!

We sat with the Doc for awhile and talked about my health, including my weight, which looks great (so I'm eating pumpkin cheesecake tonight - Thanks to my fabulous neighbor Jessica)! Baby H's growth is right on track, even ahead of schedule by 1 day...hopefully that's not an early sign of the size of baby I'm growing!!! The heartbeat was a healthy 157 bpm, much faster than the last 2 ultrasounds.

Our wonderful friends Kim & Bo told us about a company that rents fetal dopplers and Dr. Breedlove said they weren't dangerous to use, so we've bought one of those so everyone can hear our little ones beating heart also!
The absolute BEST part of our visit was the 12 week ultrasound. Baby Hawes was movin' and groovin'! He/She would arch his/her back and would launch itself around, kicking and punching the entire time. It's unreal to watch all the movement, but not feel a thing. Only 6 more weeks until we find out what we're having!!! Get your guesses in soon.
Check out the little foot kicked up!

Launching itself around my belly - even his/her hand is punching up. *Little jumping bean*
Healthy heartbeat (157 bpm)
Little legs kicking around - one is straight up in the air, the other slightly bent.

This is what we're so very THANKFUL for this year! :-D

Our VIP Longhorn Game

We were incredibly lucky and grateful to have been invited to the UT game vs. Florida, especially since the Longhorns Whooped Butt!!! Get ready....you're going to be blown away by the following photos!
Pre-game lunch in the corral club VIP area.

In our box suite on the 50 yard line.

On the field saying "Hi" to BEVO, he's HUGE!

This is right in front of the UT end zone, where we spent the entire 3rd quarter and watched the longhorns score two touchdowns & a field goal. AWESOME!

TOUCHDOWN!!!!

Heading back up to our suite for the 4th quarter.

11 Weeks

This photo is 11.2 weeks, and right before the UT game.
There's no hiding the bloat anymore, but it's beginning to look more like a baby bulge, and less like I ate too many donuts!
