22.5 Week Progress Photos

This little girl is growing faster than we could have ever imagined! She's kicking and punching like a boxer, especially in the evening!

We are having so much fun watching the baby names poll, thank you all for voting! Everyone really seems to be a fan of the names Reese, Cameryn, Madison, & Hailey/Hayley. We really love all of these names, and she will certainly use one (possibly a second for her middle name). We are definitely narrowing our favorites, and will hopefully be announcing our decision within the next 2-3 weeks!!! For any of you who haven't yet voted - what are you waiting for? VOTE!!!

We have our 23 week check with the baby doctor on Friday to check on both mommy & baby, and I'm confident everything will look great. We're as healthy as can be, and feeling fantastic! Sleep is a little spotty, but all that late night kicking, and this ever expanding belly don't really seem to be helping. I'm not feeling as lethargic as I was last week, most of my energy has returned, and I'm feeling a lot better than I had expected for being a week shy of 6 months pregnant!

We are having a 3D/4D ultrasound done this Saturday as a Valentines gift to each other, so that should be really fun, and hopefully we'll get some great facial photos and see just who this little girl looks like. I'm hoping she has Taylor's big beautiful brown eyes, and doesn't have my dads giant stinky feet! We'll get a good idea on Saturday, and we'll know for sure in just a little over 100 days!

Guest Bedroom is Ready for Guests!

Come one, come all! I have finally begun decorating the guest bedroom for all of our family and friends who keep threatening (ok, more like promising) to come and visit us when this little girl arrives! Well, now we're going to hold you to those promises! :)

I've made adjustments to the baby name poll to include all our favorite girls (first) names. Hopefully this makes things a little easier and less confusing. Please re-vote if you had already voted on the last poll. After we decide on her first name, we'll move on to the the middle name, but it's very likely to be Reese!

We eliminated a few girls names off the last list that Taylor & I have decided against- these include Alexis, Addison, and Riley.

Baby Names

Taylor & I have been struggling to decide on a baby name, and could really use some extra help! I've posted a poll (same locations as the "when will baby arrive" poll) for all of you to vote on a few of the names that are currently topping our charts.

Snow in Austin

It snowed in Austin last night, and we woke up to a winter wonderland! :) Y'all would have probably enjoyed seeing photos, but neither Taylor or I were venturing out into the cold this morning, so you'll just have to use your imagination to envision the beauty!
The fun part about being snowed in was that Taylor couldn't drive to work until this afternoon...the bad part was that he still had to work from home all morning, and then still drive in around 2, and work all evening. :(

The baby is doing great today, she's officially 22 weeks old and will be DOUBLING her weight in the next 4 weeks!! I'm not exactly sure where the doctor expects me to store all this new growth, I'm running out of room in my belly! I've been able to get a better nights sleep the last 2-3 nights, but Taylor says him and his daughter are up all night hanging out....I guess she's been quite lively in the wee hours while I'm asleep, and he's been thoroughly enjoying their alone time! :)

21 weeks & 5 days

This pregnancy seems to be flying by, but not without a few bumps....and naps...along the way! We've entered our 2nd half of pregnancy, a time in which most woman feel their best, and a time in which I seem to be growing the most! I'm much more tired in the last 2-3 weeks than I was in the first trimester, and it's becoming harder and harder to sleep at night. As my little girl grows, everything inside is being pushed out of her way, and is not the most comfortable feeling! The sensation of stretching is always evident, and even my feet seem to be growing!
Here's what's new with our baby girl: "At 11 inches and almost 1 pound, our baby is starting to look like a miniature newborn. Her lips, eyelids, and eyebrows are becoming more distinct, and she's even developing tiny tooth buds beneath her gums. Her eyes have formed, but her irises (the colored part of the eye) still lack pigment. If you could see inside the womb, you'd be able to spot the fine hair (lanugo) that covers her body and the deep wrinkles on her skin, which she'll sport until she adds a padding of fat to fill them in. Inside her belly, her pancreas — essential for the production of some important hormones — is developing steadily."
Within the next 2 weeks, our baby will have more than a 50/50 chance of survival if born premature, and her risks will continue to decline exponentially - but we want to keep our little bun in the oven until she's ready. 

We've been very busy, sick, and lazy these past 2 weeks so our supply of pictures is sparse but we'll share what we have.
