We made it!! Entering into our 3rd Trimester is such a relief, but also a reminder that we only have 12 weeks before Camryn Reese is due to make her grand entrance into this world.
She is still a very healthy baby, and has had the hiccups everyday this last week, a sign that her central nervous system has fully developed.
Here's a new picture! :)

Glucose Test & Kick Counts
We had our glucose test on Friday, and everything went well so far, blood results back within a week (unless everything looks normal, in which case Dr. Breedlove will tell me at my appointment on the March 25th, as we're now being seen every 2 weeks). The DREADED orange drink was not at all bad like everyone had warned, it tastes like an ice cold melted popsicle...I think maybe all of you previously pregnant woman complained enough about the last drink, so they made some changes for preggos like me! :)
In addition to the glucose screen, they also tested for anemia and HIV. The state law requires all pregnant woman be tested twice for HIV, once in the 1st trimester, and again in the 3rd (I was close enough to the 3rd, so my doctor was kind enough to test that day when I was already going to get pricked and prodded).
Dr. Breedlove had us start "Kick Counting" on a daily basis, which basically means that during any 60 minute period of the day I should be able to count a minimum of 6 movements from Camryn. It only took me about 30 seconds today before I was able to get all 6 out of her, she's a pretty active baby! Taylor was giving her kisses and saying "Good Morning", and then rested his head on my belly to listen to her heart when she started kicking him in the face! She responds the fastest to him talking and touching my belly, I'm pretty sure she's already a daddy's girl....and I know she already has him wrapped around her tiny little fingers!!!
We didn't take new belly pictures yet, but I'll try to have some posted by tomorrow evening! Love y'all! <3

27 week update!
So much to update y'all on, and SO MANY wonderful gifts for this little miracle...she is obviously so very loved!!
So what's new with me & Camryn....We are 27 weeks today, and feeling great! I've been experiencing more back pain lately (fortunately she's not on my sciatic nerve, so I'm grateful for minor back pain) with her increasing weight, and my upper abdomen gets a burning/aching feeling often, but we're still sleeping and eating well and feeling really healthy overall! We are in our FINAL week of the 2nd trimester, so that's really exciting!
As Taylor & I are dreaming about becoming parents, and what our little Camryn Reese will look like and what type of personality she has, she might also be dreaming about us! "Brain Wave activity measured in a developing fetus at 27 weeks shows different sleep cycles, including the rapid eye movement phase, the stage when dreaming occurs." I think the majority of her dreaming is happening while I'm awake, because when I'm trying to sleep, she's WIDE AWAKE! :)
Camryn now weighs approximately 2.5 pounds and is measured from head to toes at almost 16 inches. She is now blinking in preparation for birth, and added coughing, more improved breathing, and more intense sucking to her growing bag of tricks! Her lungs have developed to a point of maturity that if born today, although I want to keep baking her until she's a little more well done, she would be a healthy little baby!
Everyone ready for all the pictures of Camryn's gifts? She has a LOT of secret admirers!!!

Let's just start this post with some very exciting news....Taylor & I have finally chosen a name for our daughter! Drum roll please........
CAMRYN REESE HAWES
Thank you all for voting, and allowing us to harass you for the last few months, your opinions matter so much to us and we really wanted to give this sweet little girl the BEST name possible! We couldn't be happier with our decision, and we think Camryn will be happy with it as well. :)
So what else is new? We have officially made it to 6 months, a huge milestone in the pregnancy world because our baby is now considered "viable" and has a greater than 50% chance of survival if I go into pre-term labor. Her lungs have developed, and over the next few weeks she will practice breathing motions. Our next big accomplishment will be making it to 28 weeks, the start of our 3rd trimester. Taylor & I have registered for our Lamaze class, our parenting class (newborn care, etc.), and our breastfeeding class....all of these REALLY excite Taylor, especially the breastfeeding class, as I'm sure you guessed!
Camryn has already become quite the spoiled lil' princess, and received a number of very exciting gifts this week. Of course, I took pictures for everyone!!!
