Nesting has begun...

We ordered two of the large furniture pieces for Baby Hawes' nursery, and Taylor & I assembled the crib.
Grandma bought baby H a bunch of Eric Carle learning toys, so we displayed them on the crib for now.

Little Monster

These are the adorable baby shoes that Auntie Reese bought baby Hawes for Christmas! They have little monster claws :)

Merry Christmas 2010

zzzZZZZzzzzZZZzzzZZZzzzzzZZZZZZzzz!

My sweet hubby bought me a pregnancy pillow to help me sleep better. Now that my belly is growing, the doctor recommends sleeping on my left side, which is very difficult for me and uncomfortable. This, and my breathe right strips, are the only things that have been helping.

Buff Momma Built a Dog House

Taylor & I bought the pups a double dog house, and on my day off I assembled it. Yep, I may be preggo, but I can still hang with the boys!

It's a GIRL!

Well, it's official, we're having a little girl!

Leg/butt cheeks, belly, and girly parts! This is her laying flat with her legs kicked up towards the sky (think of a |___ shape) and we were looking from her bum up towards her head. Hopefully that helps everyone see what the doctor saw! :)

Adorable little crossed legs

Such a lady <3

Check out her spine! Also impressive that she's kicking herself in the head...we may have a gymnast on our hands!

We are very excited, and incredibly nervous and unprepared!!!

15.3 Weeks & Counting....

Taylor & I have been very busy this holiday season, and time is flying by! Christmas Eve will mark our 4th month, and we'll be able to find out just who's in this growing belly in early January.
So what's new with Baby Hawes? He/She has been growing leaps and bounds in the last few weeks, now approximately the size of a navel orange or an avocado (you can pick your fruit preference, the baby's about 4-5 inches in crown to rump length) and has begun growing bones. The most important of these new bones is the spine, but the most exciting for us is the little bones in the ears that have officially allowed our baby to hear! If we begin talking and singing to our baby, these noises and lullaby's will not only be recognizable to him/her after birth, but will be soothing....so all of you better start practicing your best version of "rock a bye baby".
Now that we've entered our second trimester, energy and appetite should increase, and nausea should stop harassing me at least for the next 2-3 months. My most annoying new symptom is a stuffy nose. This is a common symptom since, in addition to my swelling midsection, the mucous membranes in my nose are also swelling and will only continue to worsen as June nears. Overall I can't complain. This pregnancy has been an absolute dream! Very few days do I feel sick, and let's be honest....eating has never been an issue for me. :)
Here are a few pictures from last week (14.2 weeks along), and we'll add some more updated photos within the week.
This last picture is from today, but I wont be including the rest of the set....we had a LONG night, and it's been a rough day, so we'll take some better pictures that don't look like I just survived a tornado.
Happy Holidays Everyone! Lots of Love, Taylor, Sam, & of course Baby Hawes

Taylors New Truck

Taylor was FINALLY able to make a decision on a new vehicle, and he chose a beautiful black F-150 Lariat!
