What A Slacker.....

Dear Camryn,

Your Mommy has been such a lazy blogger...or a non-existent blogger better describes what I've been. In my defense, my lack of blogging is due to my inability to leave your side, because you are SO CUTE!!! Your Daddy says I'm obsessed with you, and well, he's right.
So lets talk about you, my sweet little boo. We celebrated your "Half Birthday" on December 3rd! I swear I was in the hospital giving birth to you 2 minutes ago....6 months has gone by in a blink. I came down with the flu on your "birthday", so we didn't go to SeaWorld like I had been wanting, but instead you had a Daddy-Daughter day. I'm not sure who had more fun, you or Daddy?!

You were really sick for 2-3 weeks, so I stopped giving you anything but breast milk. You visited your pediatrician 5 or 6 times, had to get a catheter placed to test for a UTI, and had to have blood draw, but we never got a clear answer on what was making you sick. Dr. Day thinks you had a bug that just didn't want to go away. I think you may have been sick, but also teething. You're feeling much better now, so you're back on solids. You have a really hard time digesting baby cereals (rice cereal & oatmeal) so I've stopped offering those for awhile and instead you eat vegetables, fruits, and meats.

You are sitting up on your own, but you would much rather be standing!! If you can hold onto anything and pull yourself up, you try. You started trying to crawl a few weeks ago, and you can manage to "inch worm" around, but only when you have something behind you to push off of (like a wall, or Daddy and I put our hands against your feet). When we don't "help" you, you lift your bum up, and can get your knees under you, but you haven't learned to also coordinate your arms to pull you forward at the same time. You end up pushing yourself backwards and in circles....it annoys you, but Daddy and I think its adorable! :)

Your very first Christmas is just days away, and even without all your presents from extended family, our tree is looking itty bitty in comparison to the overflowing gifts that are crammed under it. Daddy and I might have (definitely!!!) went overboard, considering you're only 6 months old and wont even remember this Christmas. You are getting something even better than presents....Auntie Molly, Uncle Brenden, Nana, Papa, Grandma, Chris, Grammie, Grandpa, Mimi, Courtney, and Auntie Stacia are here to see you!!! You are being fought over. As if that's not exciting enough, your Auntie Reese and Uncle "Heaf" are moving to Austin in just 2 months! You think Auntie Reese is the funniest person ever and I know you're going to love having her around more often. Mommy and Daddy can't wait for them to move either; we are definitely pawning you off on them to babysit while we have a date night finally! ;)

You got to open presents from Grammie & Grandpa yesterday, so I'll post those pictures soon. You were so cute opening them!! You would drop whatever gift you had in your hands as soon as you saw the next gift, and you'd reach out to grab it. Of course I cried.....I'm going to be such a mess on Christmas day.

Love you Little Boo!!!
Mommy
